Burial gown for your Forsaken fashionista

If I was given an ultimatum and was forced to transmog to one set and wear it for ever, it will be this one, no doubt.
I cannot explain why I haven't posted this one yet, since it is my ultimate, all time, undisputable favourite. I love the theme, the story behind it I came up with, and I absolutely ADORE it on the Forsaken, I cannot be happier with it, ever.
I put it together back in the days of fighting for the Alliance, and took some screenshots of Nestalhir showing it off in some pretty shady places, but I didn't appreciate all its beauty until I race changed.
The way I like to think of it now (I like to justify the race change with some in-character story rather than just "I luv the forsaken" - sue me) is that Nestalhir, a human discipline priest, suffers from a bipolar disorder *trying to explain the shadow offspec and her episodes of violent face meltings* and well, her life ends in a dramatic attempt to finally find peace. She wakes up from what was meant to be eternal sleep, and to her initial dismay finds out her affinity to shadow has increased in strenght. The light that she cherished all her life now abandoned her, but she is not ready to abandon her former identity. *Insert the lore explanation for forsaken priests bending the light and suffering*
I don't think I have ever mentioned it here, but I'm a die-hard fan of Tim Burton's creations, and if I had the guts and money I would dress like a proper (neo-Victorian) goth. I like the creepy stuff, I like scary stories.
The way I see this particular transmog set is the burial dress Nestalhir wore when she woke up to her life in undeath (is this even a correct way to say it?) The candles, the dead roses on her staff, it all makes me think of Nestalhir as a character from Christina Rosetti's poem or the like.

I can still remember the adrenaline rush when racing against the timer to get my first Challenge Mode: Gold kill. I remember our leader's remarks, I remember how proud I was when I was being complimented Nest stop it you should be humble ok thanks it was truly a rewarding experience in game and made me feel like a somewhat decent healer. Naturally, I knew very well what the priest transmog set looks like, and transmogged to it right away when I got the chance.
HOWEVER I wasn't all too happy with the set. I couldn't help it, and although I really liked the shoulders/head design, I was not satisfied with the robe. Sigh. Feeling ungrateful I sucked it up, changed my transmog - as usual - about twice a day, until I came up with this.

Epiphany, I think it's called.
It took me a while to get the robe, but oh my it was all worth it.
I keep coming back to it, and I dare say it looks even better on the Forsaken. (Pictures of that later, I don't feel like wearing this particular set now, funny enough.)

Then I thought, hey, this is something I would picture the Stark woman wearing in the WoW universe.
Oh dear lord every time I watch Cat drag her dress in the mud of Winderfell I want to punch a panda or destroy something beautiful

Egyptian Priestess

Ah, my favourite theme. One of my favourite staves.
Nestalhir is embracing her former life as an Egyptian priestess, and posing in - you guessed right - one of my all time favourite areas in game, Uldum.
Now, before you notice the priest-only challenge gear pieces, don't despair nor hate on me (too much) - they are what I personally prefer to use for this set, but are easily replaced by pieces with matching colour theme.

I admit to the guilty pleasure of using the Orb of the Sin'dorei while wearing this set. On cooldown, even during raids.

Couldn't help but notice the similarities to the outfit Cersei from Game of Thrones could possibly wear. +1 reason to grind it.

It's not original *Nest what are you talkin' 'bout there is no such thing as originality in wow* yet I would like to post it here for the future, and because I like to take screenshots with wings and sparkles in pretty places.

Dead yet still alive!

It finally happened!
After breaking free from the rather toxic community of my former guild, I was finally free to do what I want, and play how I want. So, naturally, I have decided to take advantage of the free character migration to a different server and faction changed. Now, Nestalhir is a Forsaken, and a whole lot of new possibilities for RP and transmog came to my mind. I still have some screenshots to post of her when she was still a human, but all the new sets will feature Nesta as an undead.

This outfit, built around Scryers Tabard, comes in two versions. The first one is priest-only, and the second one is wearable by any clothie and easily obtainable.

Victorian archaeologist

While leveling my monk, Iynx, through the starting quests in Jade Forest, the alliance rogue T9 chest recolor caught my attention. I think it's one of the prettiest chests in game, and for sure it's my favorite leather piece, ever.
The laces reminded me of a Victorian vest or a corset, and I knew I have to create a set based on this chest.
If you are an Alliance rogue, you are lucky to be able to obtain this chest rather easily. The rest of the Alliance characters will receive the chest as a reward upon completion of this quest. Sadly, Horde characters cannot obtain the chest; the T9 pieces are converted to their Horde equivalents, and the chest dropping in  Trial of the Crusader (Armor of Shifting Shadows) is converted to Vest of Shifting Shadows for Horde.

Transmog Challenge: Drake of the North Wind

When I collected several pieces needed for this set and put them together, I realized they reminded me of the Drake of the North Wind color scheme. I decided to follow that path and ended up with my first themed transmog set, a long time before I ever thought of creating a transmogrification blog. The screenshots aren't the best quality, but at the time I was so proud I actually bothered to take a few screenshots.
The set is priest only, and is a mix of tier pieces and pvp shoulders you can buy with justice points.

White dove

Every so often I get in the mood when I want my character to look cute and, well, priesty. Aurora Robe is perfect for a minimalistic, clean transmog for any clothie. It's usually rather expensive on the Auction House, but if you are Alliance you can just do a few low-level quests in Dun Morogh to get this dress, or, if you are a worgen, you get the exact same robe after completing a quest in the worgen starting area. The horde equivalent is obtainable by doing a quest in Mulgore. It appears, however, that the quest is for Tauren only.
The shoulders and helm drop in Black Temple and are the recolor of priest T6 set, and thus obtainable by all clothies! :)

Dragon in the mists

I love this robe. For a long time I was looking for a way to use it, since I'm not very fond of the matching shoulders (Duskwoven Amice).
After playing around with Mogit for a while, I reluctantly admitted that the shoulders I was avoiding like the plague fit the robe quite well and help to create a unique look. It also matches the animation of the legendary cloak, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out!

This set is, sadly, only usable by priests due to the shoulders and the belt. There are other alternatives if usable for any clothie that go well enough with the robe. You may want to check out this belt and these shoulders. You can also use the shoulders I mentioned at the beginning of the post.

Well hello there

It happened.
I like to think it was meant to happen, and that my addiction to transmog is not entirely without purpose.
After nearly drowning in robes, belts and shiny staves I have decided to go farm yet another one, Painkiller (our raid leader <3) suggested creating this blog and keeping all my creations in one place.
Nestalhir is a priest, and therefore majority of the screenshots and transmogs will, at least at the beginning, be meant for clothies or priests specifically. I plan, however, to design outfits for all the other armor types in Mogit and share them here. Hope you enjoy!
